ROTEK
also known as Return Of the Emo Kid marks my return to blogspot,
the place that got me started this whole bloggin' thing.
This is Rotek Beta Version 1 and it's supposed to be some kinda
newspaper, I hope you can tell by now. |
My
name is Liang and I lead a mundane life. I engage in activities
like photography, guitar-ing, songwriting, changing blog designs
and rotting. I love rotting.
I am sometimes mildly depressive and when I am, I lament about how
nobody loves me and how long I've been unattached... |

Ain't Got Nothing Goin' On
When I said that I forgot how it feels to be in love, I missed out one other big thing. I forgot how it felt to be out of love. So maybe it's not so bad that I am unwanted. But even that mere 3 days of sweetness was good to have, to feel loved, wanted.
"Think I'm getting stronger... Day by day by day.." - Stronger, SURREAL
Does it mean that if I'm so emotionally weak even from such a minor incident mean that I'm not ready for a relationship? Are those people who are so-called ready for relationships so strong and comfortable about being single that even if they were suddenly thrown from being in a relationship to being single again they'd be fine? No right?
I thought I was strong enough to stick to what I said, but no, I'm too weak. The elation of being in a "relationship" albeit non-official was brilliant but the knowledge of another party involved in it all makes the whole thing like a * rollercoaster ride. You know what? I hate rollercoaster rides. (And yes I just used the "f" word, I don't like to censor, I don't like censored films and I don't think I stumble anyone cos my readership is quite low and the audience is mature. That's what I thought, until my 12-year-old cousin messaged me on msn and said "I'm on rotek... now.")
Like a rollercoaster ride, my Lord...
Don't ask me who she is, I won't tell. Don't ask me if I'm ok, I am not.

All Things Bright and Shiny
"Hong Kong 1982. The manufacturing and production hub of the world is burning at a full flame, As with their neighbours in Japan and China, photography is an intense national hobby and obsession. New camera designs and productions are churned out daily... Reflecting the shining landscape around them, this new camera is named after the term "ho gwong," meaning "very bright." After throwing a European spin onto this phrase, the moniker "HOLGA" is minted." -www.lomography.com/holga
Here's my new toy chillin' out at Pacific Coffee Company with Daryl and me.
Price: $110
You can get it at Ruby Photo at Peninsular Hotel Shopping Centre for $106. The camera's cheap but the film can start costing a lot along with the processing and printing! You can shoot either 12 or 16 frames per roll of film, depending on what shape you want it to be. Square frames shoot 12 per roll and normal rectangular frames shoot 16 per roll. The film's called the "120" format, it's medium format.
Colour films range from $5 - $8 per roll and black and white films range from $4 - $6 per roll. Here are some more pictures I took with my first roll of 120 film on my Holga!

Was He Your American Idol?
Pictures taken from www.williamhung.net/
Check the SITE out if he was your American Idol! Check it out even if you've never heard of him, it's really funny.
But but, you have to give to the man his amazing attitude! If American Idol was based on the contestants' attitude, William would be the winner!
